Chiuchownese Noodle Shop in Sai Ying Pun is an absolute gem for anyone who loves traditional Teochew-style flavours. The fresh liver, fresh beef, and assorted pork ingredients — especially the intestines and pork meatballs — are all incredibly well-prepared, clean-tasting, and full of that comforting, old-school richness you rarely find these days. Every bowl feels authentic, simple, and deeply satisfying. The noodles themselves are beautifully cooked, and the broth has that understated but unmistakable Chiuchow character that keeps you coming back. It’s the kind of place where the quality speaks for itself. One tip: I’d skip the egg sandwich. It’s not bad, but this isn’t their specialty, and the real magic is definitely in the noodle dishes. A must-visit for anyone craving honest, classic Hong Kong flavours done right

Super friendly staff - family run(?) business They have very fresh innards. I had pork intestines last time and beef stomach this time. Pity they ran outta fish ball, not a big fan of the 魚片頭 Their chilli oil is super good though!

Was here years back. So coming here is to complete my mission to eat as much Teochew food in HK. Their braised beef noodles and fish wanton or dumplings are very authentic Teochew. It’s a very small shop at the end of the Centre Street in Sai Ying Pun. Now they sells not only beef but also pork noodles and good too. I saw the dried fish skins and got it. They served it with a bowl of soup for us to soak the skin. Really yummy. My braised beef was tender and well marinated. Fish dumplings are really excellent. Will return when I’m in HK again.

One of the best places to get pig intestines (豬粉腸) in HK! The broth is delicious and light; you can add preserved veg or chili oil to adjust the flavour to your liking. A bowl of noodles + two toppings is $43 which is pretty good deal with how much they give you. Since this place is pretty popular for lunch, it is best to arrive before 11:30AM to avoid any lines.

I’ve ordered pork ball, fish wonton and beef tendon. I ordered a large bowl cost HKD52. Super delicious and the chili goes really well with it. Staff are very friendly and polite. They only accept cash I went at 08:15 and there is no queue but still quite busy. Will be back again for more 好吃/おいしい/아주 맛있는/enak/deliciosa

This place specializes in offal cuts of beef and pork that goes with their peppery broth. Love the broth, especially in those bitter and cold winter days. On top of offal cuts, they also offer beef, briskets and serious types of meatballs. Drinks are also well made here, but won't wow you. Overall, an excellent place for a nice hot bowl of noodles!

Located in Sai Ying Pun, Chiuchownese is a cozy and authentic Chinese restaurant serving up some of the best Chiuchow-style noodle dishes in the city. I started with addictive noodles and followed it up with a hearty and flavorful noodle soup - the portions were very generous. The service was attentive and the simple dining room had a inviting atmosphere. As a go-to spot for satisfying and comforting Chiuchow-style noodles in the vibrant Sai Ying Pun neighborhood, I highly recommend Chiuchownese.
